Set on redefining the stereotypes of traditional real estate agencies, Suburbia is a brand with authenticity at its core. It’s a brand innately clear on vision, mission and purpose. Identifying a notable gap in a market where people crave connection and comfort, Suburbia are on a rapid trajectory to reinvent real estate.
The Smack Bang team were tasked with the Branding, Brand Strategy and Marketing Collateral for Surburbia and set out to create an immersive brand experience that bridges the space between traditional real estate and lifestyle edge. There is nothing more personal than the place you choose to call home so honouring this universal truth across all brand touchpoints was a key driver in our strategic decision making.
At its very core, Suburbia celebrates community, personality, and transparency with the intended outcome sparking intrigue and excitement in people to feel supported when buying or selling their home. With a brief to amplify this brand ambition, we set out to enable Suburbia on their mission to inject personality and trust into an industry of same same and stand out in a marketplace where monotony reigns supreme.
No two people are the same, so why should their real estate experience be? Suburbia honours your individuality and the unique traits that make you, you. They know that home is a place where good and bad times are had and memories are made. Suburbia is all about inserting personality back into the real estate world.
The strategy team worked to highlight the opportunity and facilitate a revenue-focused strategy to change the way people connect, interact and perceive the real estate industry as a whole — creating the foundations of a trusted brand that oozes sincerity and bleeds authenticity.
In the design studio, a bold and relatable identity was born. A strong logo mark was developed, symbolising the gravity of the investment that comes with buying or selling a home. Letterforms were customised to inject personality throughout with the letter U warped, drawing attention to the human connection of the brand. With intention to convey the emotive experience involved, personalisation of ‘sold’ collateral was crafted to further add the feeling of an individual, tailored experience.
The result, a carefully considered brand identity that positions Suburbia at the forefront of a movement set on creating an experience that echoes the notion of home, beyond four walls.
