The founders set out to create a sex toy purchasing experience that was not only comfortable and safe but also fun! Granting their staff the title of ‘Connection Connoisseurs’, across every touch point the Pepper team is committed to delivering a seamless experience that encourages customers to embrace and explore their sexuality. Pepper exists to remove antiquated ideas of stigma and shame and promote connection-driven and pleasure-positive sexuality. Pepper places sexual wellness on the map as a key pillar of health that should be embraced by all.

Smack Bang was approached to work with the founding team at Pepper on their repositioning by undertaking a revamp of their e-commerce strategy, web design, art direction, product photography, 3D rendering design, and performance marketing.

Harnessing the power of performance

We knew that revamping Pepper’s brand and launching the new Solution Kits would be pointless if we couldn’t reach and engage an audience. So, we teamed up with the marketing gurus at Common Intent to develop a series of ads and content pillars that would captivate and grow their audience on social media.

To cater to Pepper’s diverse audience, we knew that we had to use different approaches and cues to keep everyone interested. That’s why we presented information in a variety of unique ways, ranging from sensual visuals to witty humour and expert guidance. This allowed us to connect with people on multiple levels and make sure that everyone felt included and understood. After all, sexual wellness is a personal topic, and we wanted to make sure that everyone felt comfortable engaging with the content and the brand.

Helping Pepper tell a cohesive story has translated into a dynamic web experience, with the team feeling a groundswell of new engagement across the board, with boosts such as;
